The IFLA Document Delivery and Resource Sharing (DDRS) Standing Committee is pleased to announce the 18 th ILDS (Interlending and Document Supply) Conference, hosted by ADA University in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan from 02-04 December, 2024.
In the 21st century the importance of promoting diversity and inclusion in libraries and library collections has again emerged as an important topic. Resource Sharing agreements were some of the very first international collaborations and partnerships between libraries, and for many decades resource sharing has been fundamental to providing access to a broad diversity of ideas beyond local library collections. Under the conference theme, “Global to Local: Diversity & Inclusiveness in Resource Sharing,” the DDRS Standing Committee invites the resource sharing and document supply community to share the various ways that their work promotes diversity and inclusiveness in both local and international environments.
If you have experiences and ideas to share, the Conference Planning Committee is accepting conference paper proposals. Proposals may be submitted in English or Russian. Possible topics may include, but are certainly not limited to, the following:
